Symmetrical Pinnae for Head and Torso Simulator

When testing stereo headsets it has always been a challenge to obtain an identical positioning of the right and left part of the headset. With the  Symmetrical Pinnae for Head and Torso Simulator (HATS) Type 4128, this task is simple and straightforward.

The symmetrical pinnas come in a soft (OO-35°) and hard (OO-55°) version, both complying with the IEC and ITU-T recommendations. To ensure high quality measurement results, the left pinna is a digital mirroring of the original right pinna, providing a set of symmetrical pinnae to be used with HATS:

• DZ-9769 Right pinna shore OO-35° (soft)
• DZ-9770 Left pinna shore OO-35° (soft)
• DZ-9771 Right pinna shore OO-55° (hard)
• DZ-9772 Left pinna shore OO-55° (hard)

To enable measurements using asymmetrical pinnas, the left pinna for HATS is available:

• DZ-9760 Left pinna shore OO-35° (soft)
• DZ-9764 Left pinna shore OO-55° (hard)
